Sahafa Jadeedah

Sahafa Jadeedah is a working newsroom and a teaching program at once. Students produce real multimedia journalism, reports, video, podcasts, and documentaries, and it all had to live on one publication that reads like a serious magazine, not a class project.

The whole thing runs in Arabic, right to left, so the layout, typography, and reading flow had to be built for Arabic from the ground up, not translated after the fact.

And it needed structure behind the stories: clear category sections (culture, public affairs, environment, economics), editorial guidelines and an ethical charter, plus accounts for the students producing the work.
