Ivvest

Ivvest is a containerized indoor vertical farm, The Capsule, engineered to grow crops anywhere. We built the whole stack: the IoT control layer on ESP microcontrollers and a Raspberry Pi gateway wiring the sensors, lighting, climate, and irrigation, plus IvvestOS and the web and mobile apps that let an operator run a farm from anywhere.

The Challenge

What we were up against

Ivvest is not an app with a farm attached. It is a farm. The Capsule is a containerized indoor vertical farm that has to hold a precise balance of light, air, water, and nutrients every hour of every day. The hard part lives in the physical layer: sensors and actuators that report and respond reliably, not just a dashboard sitting on top.

To run a farm from a phone, every subsystem (lighting, HVAC and CO2, irrigation and nutrient dosing, cameras) has to be wired into one control system that reads every sensor, holds each reading in range, and self-corrects the moment something drifts. That is embedded and IoT engineering first, software second.

And growers are not at a desk. The same live picture (readings, cameras, harvest plans) had to reach them on web and mobile, in sync, so a farm can be supervised from the grow floor or from home.

Our Approach

How we solved it

IoT and Hardware Layer

We built the farm's control layer on ESP microcontrollers and a Raspberry Pi gateway, wiring the sensors and actuators for light, air, water, and nutrients so every subsystem reports in and takes commands.

IvvestOS Control System

IvvestOS reads every sensor and automates or schedules each system against set ranges, self-correcting the moment a reading drifts out of range and alerting the operator when something needs a human.

Web and Mobile Apps

Responsive web and mobile apps built from shared foundations give the operator the same live view (controls, sensor readings, cameras, harvest plans) whether they are on the grow floor or at home.

Data and Continuous Improvement

Continuous data collection and analysis across every zone, so growing operations get better cycle over cycle instead of staying static.
